About the Firm
Grounded in Singapore.
Focused on People.
Nusantara Counsel was built around the belief that immigration matters deserve careful attention, not standardised responses.

A Practice Built on Precision and Care
Nusantara Counsel was established in 2012 by a team of immigration practitioners who had observed, firsthand, how procedural errors and poorly prepared submissions led to preventable delays and rejections for applicants who deserved a better outcome.
Based in Singapore's Central Business District, the firm works with foreign professionals, multinational employers, and families navigating the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration & Checkpoints Authority systems. Each case is handled with the thoroughness it requires — no case is treated as routine.
Over twelve years, Nusantara Counsel has supported more than 2,400 applications across Employment Pass, Permanent Residency, Dependent Pass, and Long-Term Visit Pass categories. The practice continues to operate on a referral-led basis, which reflects the value placed on trust and professional integrity.
Mission & Values
What Guides Our Work
Direction
We help clients understand where they stand and what steps are available — so decisions are based on clear information, not conjecture.
Integrity
We do not overstate outcomes. If a profile presents challenges, we say so — and then work with the client on a considered path forward.
Thoroughness
Every submission is reviewed for completeness before it reaches the authorities. Attention to documentation detail is how we serve our clients best.

Standards & Protocols
How We Maintain Quality
Pre-Submission Review
Every application file is reviewed by a senior team member before submission to identify any gaps or inconsistencies.
Confidentiality
Client data is handled under strict confidentiality protocols. We do not share personal information with third parties without explicit consent.
Regulatory Monitoring
The team monitors MOM and ICA circulars on an ongoing basis to ensure our advice reflects current policy requirements.
Client Communication
Clients receive timely updates at each stage of their application, and our team is available for questions throughout the process.
Profile Assessment First
We assess each applicant's profile before proceeding, to provide a realistic picture of the application landscape and suitable options.
Compliance Focus
All advisory and submissions adhere to MOM and ICA requirements. We do not recommend approaches that conflict with published regulations.
Immigration Advisory in Singapore
Singapore's immigration framework is precise, policy-driven, and subject to regular updates. The Employment Pass criteria, the COMPASS points system, and the various ICA residency schemes each carry their own documentation requirements and assessment criteria. Working with a firm that keeps current with these frameworks matters more than it might appear.
Nusantara Counsel serves professionals employed across Singapore's financial, technology, healthcare, and engineering sectors, as well as the businesses that bring them here. Our work is particularly well-suited to cases that require careful positioning — profiles with salary thresholds close to the minimum, applicants with qualifications from less commonly recognised institutions, or families with complex pass holder compositions.
The firm's location at Asia Square Tower 2 places us at the centre of Singapore's professional district, accessible to both local employers and visiting clients. Consultations are available in person and by video call.
